Redjan, es el término colectivo para los miembros de cuatro clanes semiautónomos que viven a lo largo de la costa y en las tierras altas del sur y el centro de Sumatra, una isla de Indonesia. Se consideran a sí mismos como los habitantes
autóctonos de la región. Su lengua, el
redjang, está estrechamente relacionada con el malayo, pero posee una escritura tradicional, para preservar la cual se han realizado esfuerzos recientemente. El
cultivo del arroz es de particular importancia para los redjang y cada familia mantiene un pequeño campo de arroz próximo a su hogar,
sin perjuicio de su ocupación económica principal. La conversión en masa al islamismo en la mitad del siglo XIX ha
erradicado virtualmente los remanentes de su religión indígena.

redjang, o que me agrada saber seja lá o que isso fôr, bom saber que pelo menos qualquer coisa me sai ..
Cultivo arroz, coisa importante para mim e minha familia e dele mantenho um campo em lugar próximo , realidade que com uma ou outra nuance aceito como minha de facto...
e sem prejuizo da minha actividade principal, ora lá está, confirma-se, para além do ' rice moment ' outros tenho em que parto em busca do sustento da prole. Quanto à
erradicação da minha religião indigena, tirando o motivo que tal teria originado ... aí não sei se bateu em cheio, se foi à trave !!
