Figure 3 : Denah lantai sebuah rumah di soekoe kayo - Lebong. rumah terbuat dari papan dimana B dibuat menggnakan bambu yg di buat dari luar dengan sisi dalamnya terbuka menghadap ke dalam rumah. K merupakan kandang ayam dimana untuk membuka kandang tersebut melallui ruang G. a b terbuat dari bambu yg mana menjadi pembatas antar ruangan sehingga rumah terbagi menjadi 2 bagian. L jendela S tungku perapian.

History :Rejang land and Besemah Land at Map Sumatra Island (Based on book Nederlandsch Oost-en West-indie)

This is Sumatra Island map. Taken from book Nederlandsch Oost-en West-indie page 277-288. In this map will show you where Rejang land located. Rejang Country mention as Redjangsch, and the Passumah Country mention as Midden Maleisch (Pasema`sch) Even Rejang Land not famous in Indonesia for now, I try introduce again abaut this land especially a few country in south west sumatra region (Rejang country and passumah country history), because the history in closed to disappear if nobody try to recovery.

Flora : Bulbophyllum campanulatum, Rejang Land Orchid Origin

Dear reader. Its really gratefull for finding this orchid species history. Known in scientific name as Bulbophyllum campanulatum, this species really rare and closed to unrecognize by Rejangese people or Rejang land people recently. Thats the reason why I try to introduce you this species.

Soft yellow pinky with maron red spot, make it beauty and unique look (photo dylansuzanne)

In sumatra this orchid collect and discription by Rolfe and Smith, J.J. (1909 - 1918, see history specimen below) and taken from Suban ayam (now the area part of Rejang Lebong Regency in Rejang Land), and than he review and compare another sample from specimen nearby Rimbo Pengadang (now part of Lebong Regency recently), and give determination name for Orchid as Bulbophyllum campanulatum. So thats why this orchid meaning as Rejang Land Origin also. In other publication the species report also found in Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, and philipina (wikipedia).

In rejang language orchid call as kiyuo singeak or klikip (kepahiang dialect terminology). Many orchid from this area I believe need to explore but now dissapear in nature due many illegal logging happen in Rejang Land. What a pity :(

Note :

Sambey in bahasa known as Sarembeak. This is one of oral rejangese literate. This is lebong version dialect. Many version with same meaning and purpose. This sambey use as opening word to greet guests of honour in oral rejangese literate.
