Plant : Hornstedtia minor From Rejang Land Sumatra

 Hornstedtia minor is a member of Zingiberaceae family, this plant i found at small forest near my town, some species of Hornstedtia was eaten by some people and have sweet and sour taste, but for this plant i didn't taste it so i can't tell the taste is sweet or sour.

Plant :Amomum compactum Solander ex Maton From Rejang Land Sumatra

This photo is sample of Amomum compactum Solander ex Maton  althougt some report said this native java but i dont know why this plant can be in sumatra. and i  think some people deliberately to plant them.

amomum is part of ginger and have many species, Amomum compactum Solander ex Maton or known as Kapulaga are used as flavorings in both food and drink, as cooking spices and as a medicine

this is some sample of the second Amomum compactum Solander ex Maton that i found at small forest not far from the first photo, i need confirmation from all readers about the second  photos of this , could it be same with Amomum compactum Solander ex Maton or not, from the leaf, stem and the flower have same but when i taste the fruits, the taste was different with the first photo.

Plant : Zingiber inflexum Blume From Rejang Land Sumatra

Zingiber inflexum Blume belong zingiber genus, this is a picture i found at elevation 700 above sea level in Rejang Lebong Regency, many kind of this zingiber grow in this land with a variety of colors shapes and sizes. Before in report this is native to java, and now we can show evidence if this is also native to sumatra, with help of my friend Tun Jang and his friend ( Ida Theilade Member of IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC) on threatened trees ). now i can tell you all if this is Zingiber inflexum Blume.

Not many data about this moth, but this is a moth that captured from Rejang Land Sumatra, this moth known as Monkey Moth or eupterote asclepiades.

Female Form Eupterote Asclepiades.

Flower: Amorphophallus titanum from Rejang Land Sumatra

one mont ago i found this Amorphophallus titanum,grow on the slopes of the cliff not far away from the other  withered Amorphophallus titanum

 this flower very famous in my town, the local people called Bungei Kibut, many kind of bungei kibut which grow in rejang land ,from  the big one until  the small size, this one have 2 meter hight from the ground.
