This is a small moth but look like a butterfly, because they not only fly in the day but also settle with their wing folded, this Callidula sumatrensis we found in Teak O streams,Talang Rimbo Lama Villagae,South Curup District,Rejang Lebong Regency. Synonym: The Callies ( Callidula sakuni (Horsfield, [1828]) Callidula sumatrensis ; Kobes, 1990, Heterocera Sumatrana 6: 108. Callidula sumatrensis may be found in well-shaded and damp undergrowth near streams.

Very difficult to identify this bug ,because many have similar with other genus,but the most similar is from Aspidomorpha genus.im not sure this is Aspidomorpha miliaris or not,because if we compare this image with Aspidomorpha miliaris,they have quite different.the Aspidomorpha miliaris have a many balck spots on the body,but this one doesnt have black spots on the body.but i guest this is still from Aspidomorpha genus,if anyone know about this Tortoiseshell beetle please inform me.

Very difficult to identify this butterfly,because not much info and similar photo about this one.Finally we found the pattern from Yukata web site (A Check List of Butterflies in Indo-China, Chiefly from THAILAND, LAOS & VIETNAM),so i think this the first record our euthalia aconthea garuda from rejang land,sumatra.

This plant called Temu Putih or Zedoary (Curcuma zedoaria) is the name for a perennial herb and member of the genus Curcuma Linn., family Zingiberaceae. The plant is native to India and Indonesia. It was introduced to Europe by Arabs around the sixth century, but its use as a spice in the West today is extremely rare, having been replaced by ginger.

Curcuma is a genus of about 80 accepted species in the plant family Zingiberaceae that contains such species as turmeric and Siam Tulip. The name comes from Arabic kurkum meaning "turmeric", but saffron is not in the same order. Since assembly of the genus Curcuma by Linnaeus in 1753 about 130 species have been described so far. Some of the species descriptions are without Latin diagnosis or type specimen, therefore the legitimate status of many species is suspicious and remains unclear. This is Kunik ( Rejang language ) or Kunyit / Turmeric (Curcuma longa Linn. syn. Curcuma domestica Val.) is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae. It is native to tropical South Asia and needs temperatures between 20°C and 30°C, and a considerable amount of annual rainfall to thrive. Plants are gathered annually for their rhizomes, and re-seeded from some of those rhizomes in the following season. The rhizomes are boiled for several hours and then dried in hot ovens, after which they are ground into a deep orange-yellow powder commonly used as a spice in curries and other South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine, for dyeing, and to impart color to mustard condiments.
